Anti-Remembrance?

Why is everyone so anti-remembrance day lately? Honestly I think its pretty rude to not wear the poppy. I have talked to a few people lately who seem to think it isn't important to wear the poppy or who think that to wear the poppy you are saying the war in Iraq/Afghanistan is ok. It isn't about the war now, it is about the wars gone by, particularly World War One and Two and to a lesser extent the Vietnam and Korean wars. I am not a fan of glorifying war to any extend but that is exactly what remembrance day is about. Remembering how horrific and brutal and inhumane war truly is and how it should be avoided at all costs.

I notice and feel like you are cheapening the horrific deaths of millions of young men and women who left spouses and children behind to fight the good fight(in their opinion) against Hitler and the Nazis in WWII and against the eastern block in WWI.

so people please wear your fucking poppy and don't be stupid enough to think that people dont notice when you don't.

Tall boys on the beach

Yesterday was simply divine!

I slept in nicely as i had the day off then had a wee shower and house tidy. it was nice for a change to be motivated to clean. I also had a lovely chat to my Australian on skype which was as usual rather divine . I was feeling a touch lonesome so a mass text was sent to all my fun hang out friends to come hang out with me! Gary was the first to respond so he was the winner! we went down to chinatown( which was rather...erm..how to put this nicely...Aromatic?) then met up with Alex at the Acme cafe on Hastings which is simply divine! soo adorable! I had snow pie, a salad and far too much coffee . Gary and Alex both had soup and beer. back to my pad then where we had a little visit with my roomie then headed out to get some tallboys to take to the beach with us as well as some McDonalds for Gary and some chips for me! we spent a few hours at the beach enjoying the last bit of light before night fully fell. it was so lovely. it was getting late though so we all headed home! I am actually at Alex's now as we split a cab home and I was too tired to wait for my house! it is so nice to be with Alex! to have someone to have a nice cup of coffee and bite of conversation in the morning! Mmmm so fulfilling! today will be super as well as Gary,Cheryl and I will be going thrifting for Gary's Party. oh how I love when my days off are both amazing and productive!

Oh yes , I love how happiness feels...like a kitten sleeping on your chest...eating a muffin

Its a foggy bloggy morning.

It is far to early to be up! ok well to be fair it is only quarter to eight but still, Too early. but with coffee and pb and honey on toast all seems just a little bit more bearable.

last night I had a very fabulous adventure "date" with my bestest friend Gary. we met up just to hang out and maybe go for a bit of a walk but ended up going across to North Van on the seabus! we just hung out at Lonsdale Quay but it was seriously fun! we had pie from McDonalds(I had apple he had raspberry) and Coke and coffee. it was super hi-Klass. we had some nice deep conversations and thought maybe we missed the last seabus but then saw it coming so we were saved!

today i have to go to a class for work! no fun but at least i dont have to go to work! then i have two days off( super YAY!) Cheryl , Gary and I are all going to go thrifting for some fun articles of decoration for Gary's soon to come birthday party. it has an African theme and i am being a Lemur.

Coffee and Juice makes the day swell.

But phone calls from your dad asking you what your career plans are don't. I am a self proclaimed Waffler on the whole career thing. I watched Nip/tuck so i thought maybe a nurse, I am watching Six Feet Under so maybe a mortician? so in a nutshell i have no F*cking idea what i want to do.

Right now I work at Starbucks which is alright not the best but alright.

I am just still so undedicded as to what i should do. I mean I would love to just find something easy and simple to do and be happy with it...as in settle to make it work but I really don't want to do that.

It is a very hard time in life right now as i feel like i am being pulled in a bunch of different directions. in essence i am a whiney little bitch.

Jegging!

That is the funniest new word that i have learned.

i have also recently purchased a pair of Jeggings( jeans and legging mashed together)

they are soo nice! the comfort of legging with the class of jeans.
